Saturday Savasana: a Monthly Restorative Yoga class

Restorative yoga can:
Reduce overall body tension and relieve tight muscles
Bring a feeling of openness to the neck, shoulders, back, and hips
Improve clarity and focus
Support your nervous system
Help you feel more rested and refreshed
Please note, this class includes longer holds (supported with yoga blankets and bolsters) and periods of silence.
If you are looking for strengthening or a more active class, you might consider Explore Yoga.
Accessibility:
This is a trauma-informed class but is not intended to address trauma itself.
This class is accessible for anyone who can get down onto the floor.
There will be no weight-bearing on wrists or knees in this class (e.g., lunges, downward dog), and most of the class will be spent low to the floor.
Variations and choices are offered throughout the class.
This class may not be suitable for those with active PTSD, anxiety, or depression. Please fill out the form below to inquire if this is a concern for you.

REFUND POLICY: Registration fees are non-refundable. To provide individualized attention and to build community, we keep class sizes small. Because your fee reserves your spot in the class for the session, registration fees are non-refundable.
MISSED CLASSES: Because your registration fee saves your spot in the class for the entire session, refunds and prorating are not available for missed classes. If you miss a class please contact Larissa if you’d like to attend one of her online classes as a make-up.

Hi! I’m Larissa.
Restorative yoga is one of my favourite things to practice and to teach. It has supported me through prolonged grief, brain injury recovery, and mental health challenges. And as someone living with chronic pain, Restorative yoga has become an essential part of my self-care toolkit.
I am a student of Judith Hanson Lasater, the “Queen of Restorative Yoga”, am certified as a Level 2 Relax and Renew® teacher, and have assisted in her Relax and Renew® Level 1 training.
