Release & Restore
with Crystal

Release tension through self-massage, and then rest in supported reclining positions.

This Class is For: Anyone who is interested in releasing tension and then resting in restorative positions.

Accessibility: This class is accessible for anyone who is able to comfortably get down to and up from the floor.

About the Class: Class will begin with using balls for self-massage—with the intention of reducing stiffness and pain and increasing range of motion. Class will end with restorative yoga shapes: longer supported holds to promote relaxation. The majority of class will be spent lying down on the mat.

Recommended Props: 2 massage balls: such as 4- to 5-inch vinyl balls (e.g., Miracle Balls), tennis balls, or smooth massage balls (e.g., Tune Up Fitness balls). Generally, the softer the balls, the softer the sensations. Also recommended: a yoga mat, 1 or 2 blankets, 2 blocks, and 1 or 2 yoga bolsters or pillows.
